ADMITTED TO PRACTICE IN CALIFORNIA IN JANUARY 1965, ARNE WERCHICK COMPLETED FIFTY YEARS OF PRACTICE AS A CIVIL TRIAL ATTORNEY REPRESENTING PLAINTIFFS IN PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY AND SIMILAR COMPLEX CIVIL LITIGATION AND NOW IS FULLY RETIRED FROM THE PRIVATE PRACTICE OF LAW.

Werchick & Werchick, a California law corporation, the law office founded by Jack Werchick (1913-2001), became the solo practice of Arne Werchick.  His prior community service included Presiding Arbitrator of the State Bar of California, President of the California Trial Lawyers Association, Adjunct Assistant Professor of Law at Hastings College of the Law, and an Administrative Law Judge pro tem.  In 2009 he stopped representing private clients and began volunteer service as a Special Counsel to California Advocates for Nursing Home Reform (see CANHR.ORG).

 

Arne Werchick is also the author of CIVIL JURY SELECTION (1988, 2d ed. 1993), THE GREAT BARRIER REEF (1986, 2d ed. 1988), and two teaching loose-leaf texts and many articles and other publications, and was frequently an invited lecturer at continuing education programs.

 

Having visited more than eighty countries and territories, he and his wife Ruth are delighted to be able to resume their foreign travels from their home base in Kailua Kona, Hawaii. 

They have been fortunate in 2020 to add Topaz, a delightful rescue dog, to their lives and household.
